Zulu Desk FAQ

  1. When can I use Zulu Desk Parent?
    1. The College maintains control over device restrictions between 9am and 3pm on school days. As a parent, you have access to restrict your child's device outside of these times. The College does not control the device on School Holidays, Public Holidays or Student Free Days.
  2. How do I use Zulu Desk Parent?
    1. You can download the Zulu Desk Parent app from the Apple App store or use the online website at parent.zuludesk.com. Both options use the same username and password.
  3. How do I get an account for Zulu Desk Parent?
    1. At this stage Zulu Desk Parent is in Trial, so only parents and guardians that opted in for the trail have access. Once Zulu Desk Parent is deployed, parents will be able to access the App provided they have paid their Zulu Desk charge on their Fees.
  4. What is the difference between locking the Camera App in App Lock and turning it off in Restrictions?
    1. When you lock the camera app in app lock, students are unable to access that app. However if another app such as Facebook or Snapchat wants to use the camera, they still can. If you restrict camera use in restrictions, then that will stop all apps from being able to use the camera.
